Absence & Leave

  • No leave of absence is granted except on previous written application from parents/guardian and that too only for serious reasons. The leave request must be made through a leave note. Provision for leave up to 3 days is in the diary.
  • Students who remain at home for study when the examinations are approaching are warned against this bad habit. They will be responsible for their loss of marks and also a fine of Rs. 20/- per day will be levied.
  • If a student does not come to the school for more than seven consecutive days without getting the leave sanctioned, his/her name will be struck off the rolls. Re-admission, if granted will be done on payment of a re-admission fee.
  • All are expected to attend school on the re-opening day after each of the vacations. Those absent without prior leave will be fines at the rate of Rs. 20/- per day. Dine money is used entirely to help financially under privileged ones of this school. Absence without leave note renders the pupil liable to have his/her name struck of the Roll. Re-admission may be granted at the discretion of the Principal only on payment of a fresh admission fee.
  • The absence of a student from school for a valid reason will be condoned upto a maximum period of one month only.
  • If a child is absent on grounds of ill-health, a medical certificate should be submitted along with the parent’s application for sick leave.
  • If there is any infectious disease in your home please report the fact to the Principal at once and do not send your child to class till the danger of infection has passed.
  • No child who is ill should be sent to school until he/she recovers fully or else he/she may have to be sent home at the discretion of the school authorities. After the sick leave is taken Medical Fitness Certificate is to be produced to the school, at the time of re-joining the school stating that the infectious period of the disease is over and therefore he/she can re-join the class. The following conditions apply – Students suffering from the following must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class :
  • Chicken Pox : 6 days after the disappearance of the first crop of vesicles.
  • Measles : : 7 days from rash.
  • Mumps : Until swelling of a gland has subsided which may take 9 days from the appearance of symptoms.
